Original French Bulldogs usually have short, straight, rough hair but These dogs are similar to the French Bulldog you know and love, they just have a longer coat. The coat of these dogs isn’t curly like the poodle it is actually of a medium length. The long hair gene known as the Fibroblast growth factor is present within the French Bulldog population, along with all the color combinations of blue, chocolate, cream and spotting. Still, a fluffy Frenchie is very, very rare (Hence the price tag). Just like their short-haired counterparts, the Fluffy Frenchie has a sturdy, compact little body. These dogs stand between 11 and 13 inches (28 and 33 cm) tall and weigh between 16 and 24 pounds (7 and 11kg) as females or 20 and 28 pounds (9 and 13 kg) as males.
They have large, square-shaped heads with dark or colored eyes. They also have the characteristic bat ears of the Frenchie breed which stand erect on the top of their head. The short tail is set low to the ground and can either be straight or screwed up like that of a pig.
